Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Starting in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American families and businesses were able to save $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Every Pella® Product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. How will this affect you? Not only might your notice a drop with your heating and cooling bill, you’ll also help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are all specifically designed and custom-built for your home, meaning no two projects are the same. Our wide range of products make it hard to discuss pricing without first understanding your needs and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it mutually beneficially to send out a Pella sales representative who will give you a quoted project price upon seeing the project site itself. To accelerate the quoting process, your Pella® sales representative is prepared with a computer and a portable printer so that they can give you all the quote information you’ll need—once the sales representative has a chance to consider the requirements of the project and brings them to life with your vision.

In addition to offering a large assortment of high-quality products to select from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you fantastic window and door products at affordable prices, giving you a chance to make the home improvements you want to while building great value into your Nashville area home as you do it.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We advise that you clean them with a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning solution or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. Or you can make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Put the solution on a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not suggest using glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based because they could form streaks or create a film that magnetizes moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses reliable installers who are certified to install Pella products. They must complete a thorough set of training courses so that your windows and doors are properly installed and meet Pella’s strict warranty criteria. We find the best Nashville-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Prior to beginning our relationship, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are are insured by liability and workers compensation insurance. Beyond Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Your local Pella branch provides services and support that “big box” stores can’t provide. Our staff is made up of professionals whose expertise is in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Having a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and expert installers means that your renovation will have the expertise of our whole team. We commonly use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. Simply contact our office, your sales representative, or our project manager with any questions or concerns you may have and we will get to work resolving the issue.
